The thought of a boudoir session can be intimidating when discussing it with women. I often receive various questions, so I've compiled a list of the 12 most frequently asked questions to help you prepare for a boudoir session with me.
DO YOU SHARE MY IMAGES?
Our top priority is ensuring that you feel comfortable throughout the session, as it can be a transformative experience. However, it can also be nerve-wracking as you embark on a journey to love your body. You may not feel ready to share the images with the world or may want them solely for your spouse's eyes. These are all valid reasons for not sharing your photos, and it ultimately depends on your preferences.
If there are any photos that I would like to share, I will always seek your permission first and respect your comfort level. Remember, these images are for you, not for me.
DO I HAVE TO WEAR LINGERIE?
You definitely don't have to wear lingerie specifically; it depends on your personality. There are plenty of outfit ideas other than lacey ones. For more information on outfit ideas, head over to our blog.
DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
We provide a range of payment options. Our pricing is divided into two sections. The booking fee, which is $499, covers your luxury experience and all that is included below. This fee can be split into two payments. Additionally, we offer collections, which consist of the luxurious products you take home. These collections are eligible for payment plans, a 10% discount for full prepayment, or can be purchased using services like Klarna or Affirm.
IS HAIR AND MAKEUP INCLUDED?
Hair and makeup are included in all of our boudoir shoots. We believe it is essential for you to feel pampered, and having your hair and makeup done is a great way to achieve that. Our amazing team can assist you in completing your look, whether you prefer a natural "I woke up like this" look or full-on glam. You are welcome to bring any makeup ideas you have, which we can use as inspiration.
DO YOU PHOTOSHOP MY IMAGES?
I lightly edit your images to adjust exposure and color balance. I do not remove anything permanent from the images. I believe it can be harmful to have a boudoir session and then edit out parts of yourself that are a natural part of who you are. Embracing your beauty includes not photoshopping out aspects that you may not love yet. It's okay to have areas you are still learning to appreciate. We use posing and lighting techniques to highlight your best features and ensure you look radiant.
WHERE SHOULD I BUY OUTFITS?
Though we have an expansive and ever-growing client closet, there are various places to buy outfits depending on your location and the style you want for your shoot. Some options include Victoria's Secret, Forever 21, Adore Me, Torrid, Aerie, Forever Yours Lingerie, Hips and Curves, and Shein. If you are looking for a specific outfit and can't find it, feel free to let me know, and I may be able to help you locate it.
WHAT TYPE OF PRINT PRODUCTS DO YOU HAVE?
I offer top-of-the-line products that include luxury lay-flat albums, stunning metal wall art, and a variety of fun goodies and extras that you can create from your images, such as custom paintings.
DO YOU OFFER DIGITAL FILES?
All but one of our collections include digital files. These are delivered in a locked and secured online gallery. All digital files purchased are given at the reveal appointment.
I'M FREAKING OUT. HOW CAN I CALM MY NERVES?
Nerves are a natural part of the experience. I always say that it would probably be weird if you weren't nervous. The nervousness at the beginning of your shoot will make the experience of seeing your photos later even more enjoyable.
HOW MANY OUTFITS SHOULD I BRING?
I always recommend bringing anything and everything that might be fun. During your consultation appointment, we will work together to select 3 looks that you're really excited about. We will also discuss the sets and create a plan together before your shoot date to ensure you are well-prepared on the day of your shoot.
SHOULD I GET TO MY SHOOT EARLY?
You should plan on arriving at your shoot about 5 minutes early so we can discuss your outfit colors and make a plan for hair and makeup. Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes early to ensure a smooth experience.
WHERE IS YOUR STUDIO LOCATED?
My studio is located in Sauk City, Wisconsin, approximately 30 minutes outside of Madison. We are in a step-free studio that is handicap accessible.
